Lærebogsprisen is Denmark’s largest academic book prize – and your possibility to realize your idea for a new textbook.

Samfundslitteratur wants to ensure that both new and established academic writers have the opportunity to pursue their ideas.

With Lærebogsprisen you can – on your own or with a team – take the first step and formulate your idea for a textbook that you or your students are missing.

Over the past 11 years, Samfundslitteratur has awarded almost 1.5 million kr. to researchers and teachers, rewarding the best ideas for new textbooks.   

If you have a suggestion for a textbook or digital learning material that can be used in a higher education setting, we want to hear from you!  

To participate in Lærebogsprisen, your submission must be sent in by September 1, 2016.

Please submit:

·         a synopsis of 1 to 2 pages describing the project’s idea

·         a draft with a minimum of 25 pages (equivalent to 1-2 chapters)

·         a description of the project’s target audience

·         a description of competing textbooks 

·         a description of your scientific background

·         a description of the book's outline or a detailed table of contents.

The winner will be announced at BogForum, November 11-12, 2016.
